Job Title: Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – 12-Week Assignment

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in New York. As a Med-Surg RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans for medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IVs, wound care, and post-operative care.
• Monitor patient progress, noting changes in conditions, and report significant findings to the medical team.
• Assist with patient education regarding post-discharge instructions, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care and interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Respond to patient needs promptly and advocate for patient care.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be available to commit to the full 12-week assignment from March 3, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
