Soar is seeking a Child Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team! The role is well-suited to someone who wants to be part of a team focused on supporting young children with autism and their families and who values continuity of care.
Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive services that help them thrive. We provide naturalistic ABA therapy (ESDM), speech therapy, occupational therapy, and mental health services to children with autism. We also provide diagnostic services to help families quickly access integrated, collaborative care. This also enables us to provide continuity of care not just during the transition to therapy, but also while a child and their family are receiving therapy at Soar. Soar clinicians develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with families. The team sets ambitious goals that focus on building skills that enable children to grow into their fullest selves. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning.
Location
We are seeking candidates either in-person in the Phoenix, AZ, region or fully remote for interested candidates that live outside the Phoenix area. We currently have multiple locations in the region and the location option is flexible. 
Responsibilities
 The foundational responsibilities of the role include:
<ul><li>70% of time:</li><ul><li>Conducting ~4-5 diagnostic evaluations per week (28 billable hours / week) using standardized assessments for autism and differential diagnosis</li><ul><li>ADOS-2, Developmental Profile (DP-4), BASC-3, other measures as clinically appropriate</li></ul><li>Developing and delivering treatment recommendations to families</li><li>Providing high quality and efficient services, including clinical services and reports</li><li>Providing families with individualized treatment recommendations</li></ul><li>30% of time:</li><ul><li>As needed, participation as a member of the interdisciplinary clinical team</li><li>As needed, participate in continuity of care for children evaluated that then receive treatment at Soar</li><li>Consultation and coaching with the Head of Psychological Services</li><li>Additional opportunities may be available based on a candidate’s interest and experience, and fit with Soar’s mission. This could include offering post-diagnosis processing groups, research projects, community outreach, and supervision of trainees. </li></ul></ul>
 
Qualifications
<ul><li>Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology or related field </li><li>Active (or eligible to obtain) Arizona license as a Licensed Psychologist</li><li>Full competency in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder, including the ADOS-2, in children 0-5 years-old</li><li>Competency in differential diagnosis in the context of autism evaluations</li><li>Understanding of effective treatment methods for autism</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and are qualified to work in the United States</li><li>Strong communication and consultation skills</li><li>Fluency in Spanish preferred, not required</li></ul>

Role Overview:
As an OT at Soar, you will:
<ul><li>Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism</li><li>Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism</li><li>Perform multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with speech therapists</li><li>Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care</li><li>Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families</li><li>Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support on their journey</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field</li><li>Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist</li><li>Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders</li><li>Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches</li><li>Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism</li></ul>

Qualifications
<ul><li>Desire to be a part of an organization working to advance the standard of autism therapy</li><li>Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program</li><li>License to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (i.e., Arizona or Colorado)</li><li>Preference to SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career</li><li>Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams</li><li>Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children</li></ul>
