Job Description: Registered Nurse - ICU at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital *** Block Scheduling*** Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Client: Froedtert South MSP Location: 9555 76th St, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 Duration: 13 weeks Number of Positions: 3 Shift: Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Compensation and Benefits: • Weekly Gross: $3,156.00 Per Week • On W2(Taxable): $1,056.00 Per Week ($22/hour) • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,100.00 Per Week Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital. This position involves continuous patient monitoring, administration of critical treatments, and emergency interventions. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal care for patients requiring intensive medical attention. Key Responsibilities: • Patient Care: Provide direct and continuous care to critically ill patients in the ICU, assessing and addressing complex medical needs. • Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition promptly. • Critical Care: Administer treatments, medications, and life-saving interventions as required. Participate in procedures and assist with complex medical tasks. • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare staff to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans. • Patient Education: Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. • Emergency Response: Respond to life-threatening situations, such as cardiac or respiratory arrest, with urgency and expertise. Requirements: • License: Valid Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission. • Experience: Minimum of two years of recent experience in an ICU, Critical Care, or similar high-acuity setting. • Certifications: o Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. o ACLS o NIHSS Skills: • Strong knowledge of ICU nursing practices and critical care protocols. • Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting vital signs, EKGs, and lab results. • Ability to manage life-support systems and equipment. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Hospital Highlights: • Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital • Department: ICU (First Floor) • Parking: Free parking available for all staff in designated employee lots. • Uniform/Dress Code: Standard hospital-issued scrubs in navy blue (solid color) for nursing personnel. Scheduling and Compliance: • Shift Details: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). • On-Call: Not required for this position. • Weekend Requirements: Yes, rotation of weekend shifts. • Floating: May require floating to other units based on patient care needs. • Weekend Requirements: Must be available to work weekends as part of the rotating schedule. • Block Scheduling: Yes, block scheduling is allowed for this position. Vaccination and Health Guidelines: • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required by the facility. • Flu Vaccine: Required by the facility, medical/religious exemptions are allowed.
