Essential Functions:
Monitor the health of both the mother and the baby during labor, tracking things like contractions, fetal heart rate, and vital signs.
Assistance during labor: support pain management options (such as epidurals or medications), and provide emotional support.
Support during delivery:Assist the doctor or midwife during childbirth, preparing tools and medications and helping the mother with delivery, either vaginally or via cesarean section.
Postpartum care:Help with initial care for both the mother and newborn, including skin-to-skin contact, initial breastfeeding support, and ensuring the mother is recovering well from delivery.
Education and advocacy:Provide education to the mother about the birthing process, aftercare, and newborn care, and advocate for the mother's preferences during the delivery.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Certification: NRP, ACLS &BLS   Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
