LONG TERM CARE RN Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements) Can do 13/26 weeks. Shift: 3x12 Variables 7am-7:30pm & 7pm-7:30am Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nights Years of Experience REQ: 2 years of Nursing home/LTC or Home Health preferred. Travel experience is preferred. Epic REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is preferred. First-Timers Accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: TBD Certs REQ: BLS Skills REQ: IV Insertion, PICC Lines Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Rarely Open to accommodating block schedule? RTO Restrictions: No Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, BKA, Hunntington's dx Common Equipment: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump Additional Details: This is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC/Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg. We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc. We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Work Stations on Wheels. We DO NOT USE MedPacks which is what a lot of the LTC’s down south utilize, our Medpass process is a hybrid between a LTC /MedSurg process. Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive.
