Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues. The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S). Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation.

Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support), State License-RN-Texas, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Prog/NALS)

Physical Abilities: From 50-100lbs
