1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.

Diagnostic radiology, Routine CT exams, CT angiography, CT brain perfusion imaging



2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)

EMR – EPIC, PACS – IntelePACS, CT – GE Optima 660, Rad – Carestream, Medications - Pyxis



3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Work independently, strong problem solving skills, 2 years minimum experience in CT.



4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

ARRT (R)(CT), BLS



5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)

Employee will primarily work alone after orientation period. Each shift is 12 hours and consists of Saturday 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, Sunday 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, and Wednesday Overnight 6:30 pm – 7:00 am. There is no call requirement.

6 Bed ER, 26 Inpatient Beds



8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)



9. Dress Code:

any solid color scrubs



10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.

Employee will attend general orientation which consists of 1-2 days followed by department specific training to learn workflows, processes, and protocols. This is expected to last 1-2 weeks or until able to work independently, at which time the employee will begin the prescribed shift described above. All protocols are built into the scanner and each x-ray room/machine with a protocol book available describing all scan parameters and x-ray projections required for each exam.
