​Demonstrates necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the perioperative nurse, in accordance with AORN and other regulatory standards of practice. 

​Provides post-surgical care of patients who have received general anesthesia, epidural/spinal anesthesia, and/or IV sedation. Provides post anesthesia care to patients receiving high-risk intravenous therapies and blood components. 

​Monitors patient in recovery phase to prevent patient injury and identify and resolve complications promptly. 

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
