Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Telemetry -on the unit monitoring
Use of Rapid Response Teams
Feeding tube care and management
IV therapy/Phlebotomy
Blood Product Administration
Central line blood draw
Peripheral Line Care/Management
PICC line management
Starting IVs

Schedule information

Weekends - variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
Self-schedule requests
First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift
Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Unit specific information

Patient Diagnoses include Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Acute leukemias, and others
Special Procedures/Unit Details like Chemotherapy, Blood transfusions, etc.
Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Additional Details

Required if candidate is using a compact license from any state other than Ohio

AHA only
Travelers can renew ACLS at the facility
