Job Description

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Requirements: 5x8 days with start times between 0600-0700
• Floating Requirements: Must be open to floating between Deaconess Gateway & Deaconess Midtown (8 miles apart) based on skillset.
• On-Call Requirements:

  • 30-minute call back time
  • On-call 1-2 weekends in a 6-week placement
  • On-call 1-2 days a week until 7 AM the following day

Weekend/Holiday Requirements

• One weekend in a 6-week placement
• Holidays as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • CST credentials
  • AHA BLS
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a CST in the operating room
• Charting/Equipment: EPIC preferred
• Unit Specific Skillset: Strong skills in Cardiac, Heart, and Vascular procedures. Must be agreeable to assist with general and orthopedic cases if no open heart cases are available.

Unit Information

• Facility: Level II Trauma Center with 30 OR Suites
• Candidate Attributes: Hard worker, resilient, and able to manage change well. Social candidates preferred.

• Scrub colors will be provided.
• Covid-19 vaccine is not required (subject to change).
• GSA hours are not guaranteed during the week of orientation.
