Position Details

Additional Information

• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

• Patient Criteria:

  • Patients on continuous BiPAP
  • Vented patients (stabilized through trach only)
  • Patients on vasoactive drips (e.g., amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, cardizem, insulin, labetalol, cardene, nitro, tikosyn)
  • Patients can be on ONE vasopressor; if more than one is needed, they will transfer to ICU
  • High flow oxygen (>50%)
  • DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis)
  • STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) after 24 hours in ICU
  • Dysrhythmias
  • Fluid resuscitation
  • Diuresis
  • NSTEMI (Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) if chest pain is resolving and hemodynamically stable
  • Post pacemaker/defibrillator

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4

• Unit Size: 10 bed unit

• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM

Requirements

• Must be within a strict 75-mile radius from the facility based on the address on the traveler's driver's license.
• Nurses must have experience with the mentioned drips and be comfortable with the acuity of patients at the specified ratio.
