Work Schedule

• Days: Monday - Friday
• Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10-12 hour days starting at 0630 until procedures are completed.
  • Wednesday and Friday: Hours vary based on urgent/emergent add-ons or other tasks.

Job Description

• Role: EP Lab RN
• Responsibilities:

  • Provide retraction of tissue and organs for optimal visualization.
  • Assist with hemostasis and closure of body plans as directed by the surgeon.
  • Care for patients undergoing invasive procedures, including catheter insertion and monitoring.
  • Titrate intravenous medications based on patient hemodynamic status.
  • Continuous cardiac monitoring, including rhythm identification and intervention.
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
  • Complete and accurate documentation of procedures.
  • Collect and label specimens accurately.
  • Assess, evaluate, and carry out nursing interventions and patient education.
  • Communicate clinically relevant information to the physician.

Required Certifications

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
• BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA)
• PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA)
• NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (for Nursery, NICU, L&D RNs)
• TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (for ER RNs)
• EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (for L&D RNs)
• HIPAA: Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License Verification: Must be current and verified within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS Verification: Required for RNs.
• CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute (for all Psych positions)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all RNs.
• Competency Exams: Unit specific competency exams required for each department.

Health Requirements

• Annual Physical: Must be within 1 year of assignment start date.
• Fit Mask Testing: Must be completed within 12 months and updated annually.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (Dose 1 and 2)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation

Background Check and References

• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• References: 2 supervisory references required, with at least one within the last year.
