Job Description
- Experience Required: 2 years
- Float Required: IMCU/Tele/CDU
- Documentation System: EPIC
Patient Diagnosis
- Adult, Geriatric, General Respiratory Failure, Cardiac, Renal, CIWA, GI
- Mixed Tele and IMCU on two floors:
- IMCU: 1:3 patient ratio
- Tele: 1:4 patient ratio
Special Procedures/Unit Details
- Must be IMU Level RNs for this PCU.
- Pre/Post cardiac cath
- Bipap, Breathing Treatments, CPAP/BiPap
- Cardioversion / Defibrillation
- Cooling / Warming Blanket
- Obtain 12 Lead EKG
- Drains, Epidural Pumps, Feeding Tubes, Fistula, PCA Pumps
- PICC/Central Lines, Port-A-Cath/Vascular Device Access/Care, Syringe Pumps, Triple Lumen Catheter, Wound Vac
- Medications: Amiodarone, Antiarrhythmics, Anti-seizure
Skills Required
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Blood product administration
- Procedural sedation administration
- Chest tubes management
- Tracheostomy management
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Additional Information
- Special Requirements:
- Candidates who have worked for any Providence affiliated facility as permanent staff must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel contract.
- Swedish honors compact licenses.
