Job Description
- Specialty: Neuro Trauma ICU RN
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Experience Required:
- 2 years of ICU experience
- At least 1 year of permanent experience prior to travel
- 1 year of Epic experience required
- First-Timers Accepted: No, preference for experienced travelers with 2-3 prior completed assignments.
- Weekend Requirements: Must be flexible, scheduled based on unit needs.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TCAR
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Preferred Certifications
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- CSC (Cardiac Surgery Certified)
- SCRN (Stroke Certified Registered Nurse)
- TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse)

- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Management of multi-system organ failure
- Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia)
- Pre/Post cardiac catheterization/intervention
- IV insulin protocols
- Management of chronic/acute renal failure
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs and continuous IV sedation
- Emergency medications and procedural sedation administration
- Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions

- Use of high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)

Cons
Was lied to about having to do charge and they changed my contract to day shift in the middle of my contract which I was not willing to do so they cancelled me. Very large OR could walk up to 8 miles a day just fyi
