Job Description

The Physical Therapist (PT) will be responsible for:

• Evaluating patients' functions through formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Developing goal-specific treatment regimes based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
• Submitting written treatment regimes as part of the treatment plan authorized by the physician and updating the plan of care as needed.
• Creating a treatment schedule that is frequency and duration specific, in coordination with the patient, family, and clinical support staff.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's condition, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Requirements

• PT Experience: Required
• Pediatric Experience: Required
• BLS (AHA): Required
• Acute Care Experience: Highly Preferred
• Work History: Must provide a skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty.
• References: 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years.
• Permanent Address: Candidates must not be local (50-mile radius restriction).
