Job Description

Position: ICU RN needed for Night Shift
Shift: 3/12s

Certification Requirements

CA RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years of RN ICU experience

Additional Information

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend and as needed by the unit
On Call: As needed
Floating: May float to other units within scope of practice depending on need/census. Travelers can anticipate a notice of 1.5 hours prior to shift start time in most cases. A shuttle is provided if floating is requested.

Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CCRN (Critical Care RN)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Additional certifications as applicable based on unit requirements
Competencies:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam

Health Documents

Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
TB Screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start
Immunizations: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season

Background Check

7 Year Background Check required within 6 months of start

Must have a complete 7 years of work history in the application, including city and states of locations worked, with no gaps.
