Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse in ICU (Burn Center)
• Shift: 3x12 Nights (19:00-07:00)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Years of Experience Required: 2 Years
• First-timers Accepted: No

Experience Requirements

• Current Critical Care experience required.
• Must be willing to work all levels: ICU, IMC, and MS within the Burn Center.

Certifications and Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• EKG Course
• IABP & NIHSS preferred
• Competency in CRRT preferred (required prior to start)

Additional Information

• Floating: Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted).
• RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Diagnosis: Unit cares for patients with pulmonary issues, liver failure, kidney disease, DKA, and Sepsis. Management of patients on mechanical ventilation, Bipap, CRRT, and multiple drip titration.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Statement of good health required, signed by a physician, PA, or NP.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu vaccine required for new starts during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination preferred (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson).

Background Check and References

• 7-year criminal background check required.
• 2 former supervisor references required.
