Job details

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and standards of nursing practice.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis Supply Stations, bedside fetal montior
Required skills and minimum years of experience. Min 2 years recent LDRP experience

Job requirements

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. Active AK state RN license. HS AED, BLS, NRP and STABLE required

Schedule information

Shift or schedule requirements. 12 hours shifts

Unit specific information

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 4 LDRP / 5 Nursery/Post Pardum
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. Per national standard, based on type of labor and patient needs
Dress Code: Scrubs - provided
Unit specific training and orientation program. Meditech and OBIX training 3 day training, plus unit specific orientation. CPH requires RN's complete Medication Testing once on site (to be completed within first two weeks)

Pros

Enjoyed working on the floor with everyone. Good schedule. They do a month of self schedule and they try to give you what you ask for. I worked day shift only. I do plan on coming back for future assignments:)
