Job Description

  • Urgent Need: Due to an increase in Emergency Department (ED) boarding patients during the respiratory season.
  • Schedule: Seeking travelers for 3x12 night shifts. Consideration for 4x12 shifts for qualified candidates.
  • Patient Population: Supporting ED boarder population within a specific neighborhood in the ED.
  • Weekend Work: Will consider travelers with a set weekend schedule for more consistent weekend work.

Requirements

Credentials and Documentation

  1. MGB Badge Photo: Submit a color photo taken in the past 6 months (no selfies or filters).
  2. License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification required.
  3. COVID-19 Vaccine: Completed primary series or up-to-date vaccination required; no exemptions considered.
  4. MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity.
  5. Hepatitis B: Record of 3 vaccines or proof of immunity (preferred).
  6. Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions considered.
  7. TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON TB test within 3 months of start date.
  8. Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  9. Tdap Vaccine: Preferred documentation within 10 years.
  10. Criminal Background Check: Must include all counties resided, employed, and attended school in the last 7 years.
  11. References: Two recent references required, with at least one from a supervisor or above.
  12. Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
  13. Education Verification: Must verify highest level of education achieved.
  14. National Sex Offender Check: Conducted within 30 days of start and annually.
  15. Exclusion Checks: Search OIG, GSA, and MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists.

Additional Information

  • Fit Test: N95 fit test required within 365 days of start date and updated annually.
  • TB Screening Form: Must be completed prior to start and updated annually if applicable.
