Job Description

• Unit Name: Davenport 7
• Unit Type: 41 Bed Medical Telemetry Unit
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Floating Required: Yes, travelers may need to float to applicable units as needed.
• Shifts:

  • Rotating shifts required for Days (7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a)
  • Night positions are straight Nights
• Clinician to Patient Ratio:

  • Days: 1 to 4/5
  • Evenings & Nights: 1 to 5/6
• Patient Population: Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic, Psych, Substance Use Disorder, GU, GI
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC

Required Skills

• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen

Certifications and Licenses

• Required:

  • Current Massachusetts RN License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required
• MMR Vaccine: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15th - April 30th)
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or QuantiFERON TB Test
• Fit Test: N95 fit test required within 365 days of start date
• Health Statement: Physician statement required within 365 days of start date

Background Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Required
• Education Verification: Must verify highest level of education achieved
• National Sex Offender Check: Required
• Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, and MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists

Additional Information

• Documentation of work experience and education must include city & state.
• Two recent references required, with at least one from a supervisor or above in the relevant skill set.
