Position Details

Shift Information

• Night Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months recent Cardiac Stepdown experience required.
  • PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel.
• Licensure:

  • Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand.
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS & ACLS required.
  • NIH Stroke Certification required.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics (e.g., PALS, NRP, etc.).

Additional Requirements

• Holidays: Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• Documentation:

  • Government-issued photo ID required.
  • Background check required prior to start of assignment.
  • References: 2 references required from employment within the last year.
  • Application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.

Health Requirements

• Physical Exam: Must be within a year of start.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine required every 10 years.
  • Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
  • Standard 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.
• TB Testing: True 2-Step PPD or QGold/TSPOT within 12 months of start.

Onboarding Process

• Candidates must complete online training modules prior to clearance to start.
• Fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and must be updated annually.

• All certifications must be current and renewed if they expire within 30 days of the start date.
