Job details

Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be considered.
Traveler will automatically be declined if licenses and/or certifications are expiring during the assignment.
Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.
The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon, and cares for the patient and instruments during surgery.
The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups.
Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital is required.
Prior traveler experience highly preferred.

Job requirements

Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.
Strong cardiovascular, endovascular and peripheral vascular experience.
4's for cardiovascular, endovascular and peripheral vascular skills on skills checklist.
Transplant experience required.
Successfully completed a surgical technologist program. Two years experience in a Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of program completion.
Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment (supervisor or manager only) from work performed in the last two years.

Schedule information

Traveler must be able to work the schedule posted for the unit.

Unit specific information

Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
Travelers may have shifts scheduled in multiple units or locations within the organization depending on staffing needs.
Shifts may be re-assigned to another unit if the primary unit no longer has a need, in order to complete the contract.
