  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg/Tele Tower 2 unit. The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience.
    Job requirements
  • Must have PCU/Stepdown/Tele Experience on this unit.
  • EPIC experience required.
  • Ok first time travelers.
  • Prefer experience with TAVR and CABG (core staff usually take).
  • This unit has cardiac focus.
  • Travelers must have experience with all drips below.
  • Charge- free of assignment, try to avoid giving an assignment (could take a couple patients on very rare occasion).
  • PCA-8-12 per person, potentially less.
  • Tele on this unit, Travelers need to read tele, however there is a dedicated monitor tech as well.
  • Bipap, hi flow, stable trach.
    Schedule information
  • 6:45-7:15a, charge to make schedule to balance unit needs, will take travelers requests into consideration.
  • 4 weekend days per month.
  • 3/5 holidays.
  • Low Census for full or partial day.

  • Unit PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care - A2
  • # of Beds 36
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin
  • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 1NEO, 1 clinical ed, 1 day floor

  • Radius Rule: 100 miles
  • NURSE PATIENT RATIOS: DAYS | 1:4 NIGHTS | 1:5
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
  • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge- free of assignment, try to avoid giving an assignment (could take a couple patients on very rare occasion).
  • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?).
  • Floating Requirements ICU within patient population, and MS floors.
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Navy Blue.
