Shift Requirements

• Shift Length: 12-hour variable shifts
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday
• Float Requirements: Occasional floating to other departments (no patient load, tasks like vital checks). May float to other Aspirus locations (Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, Langlade).

On Call/Call Back Requirements

• None

Required Certifications

• Wisconsin RN license
• BLS certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience
• Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience is very helpful
• Ability to read telemetry strips

Charting Experience

• Experience with Epic is preferred

Unit Overview

• Unit Size: 20-bed unit (ICU and Med-Surg shared unit with 3 ICU beds)
• Typical Census: 8-10 patients
• Nurse to Patient Ratio:

  • Days/Evenings: 1:4-5
  • Evenings/Nights: 1:6-7

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Any clean and work-appropriate scrubs
• Radius Rule: Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius
