- Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (they can finish a contract by 11/30).
- **Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Shift Requirements: 4x12s or 3x12s
- Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
- Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
- Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients
- Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses.
- Skillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience, 2 Years Overall RN experience required
- BCLS certification required
- COVID vaccine required
- Floating experience between Med-Surg, PCU, ICU
- Shift Requirements: 4x12s or 3x12s
- Call-Ins: Expectations for making up missed shifts are provided based on FTE status
- Weekends: Every other weekend, but consecutive weekends may be necessary depending on operational needs
- Charge coverage: Unit charge nurse responsibilities may be required with provided training and resources
- Post Operative care involving Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho, and some pre-op patients
- Charge pay may apply with charge nurse responsibilities
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID required
- Must provide clear copy of ID
- Specific IU Health compliance forms and checklists must be completed
- On-site Fit Test may be available as a last resort
- Personal or Auto Insurance proof required for Hospice specialty
- Orientation and training modules may be mandatory prior to or during employment
