  • LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes. The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field.
    Job requirements
  • 2 years ICU experience required.
  • Must have experience in 600+ bed teaching facility.
    Schedule information
  • 12 hour shifts 7-7
  • 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
  • Work in with core staff rotation
    Unit specific information
  • MICU, SICU, TICU - total of 120 beds
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:1-2
  • RNs required to read and interpret their own strips
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor
    Additional Details
  • Travelers will be required to float amongst all ICU areas, as well as any MedSurg/Tele units.
  • Travelers must understand that they will be floated and will not have an opportunity to refuse floating.
  • ICU Travelers may also be asked to float to St. Joseph Westgate campus.
