Job Description

• Major Function: Provide professional nursing care through the nursing process. Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Comply with all policies and procedures, nursing standards of practice, and regulatory bodies.

Experience and Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred.
• Contract Length: 6-13 weeks.
• Specialty: Medical Surgical experience preferred.
• Weekend Availability: 12-hour shifts, Sunday to Saturday; must be available weekends.
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday.
• RTO (Request Time Off): No more than 3 days.
• License: NJ or compact license required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS (AHA only)

Physical Requirements

• Lifting: Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Crouching: Occasionally.
• Reaching: Frequently.
• Carrying: Frequently.
• Hearing: Occasionally.
• Walking: Frequently.
• Pushing: Frequently.
• Talking: Occasionally.
• Vision: Occasionally.

Orientation and First Day Instructions

• Workers will receive three emails from Inspira prior to their start date:

  1. Virtual Orientation: Teams link for Monday orientation with 'at your pace' modules.
  2. Education Scheduling: Mandatory attendance for orientation classes from Tuesday to Thursday.
  3. HR Email: Scheduling an ID badge appointment and reviewing policies/procedures.

• Important Note: Workers must be available for the full 7 days of their first week for orientation. No special scheduling for orientation is permitted; failure to attend will result in rescinding the offer.
