Job Description
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Patient Population: Childbearing women and newborns (Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, Newborn)
- Facility Highlights:
- Level 3 Perinatal center with 70% of patients being complex high risk
- Level 4 NICU with approximately 150 births per month
- 2 O.R.s on unit for C-Sections, BTLs, PP D&Cs
- 2nd L&D RN as "baby catcher" for well, non-compromised babies
Certifications Required
- BLS: Basic Life Support
- NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred)
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
- EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring (preferred)
- CHEMO: Chemotherapy (preferred)
- TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred)
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Fit Mask Testing: Required within 9 months of start
- TB Testing: Negative TB or chest X-ray required
- Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination required)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination required)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination documentation required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination tracking required (not mandatory)
Background Check
- Criminal Background Check: Required within 45 days of start
- Education Verification: Required for RNs and Med Lab Techs
