Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: No later than 4/14 preferred
• Unit: General Med/Surg overflow unit
• Weekend Requirement: Must work 3 out of 4 weekends each schedule period

Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ONLY)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA ONLY)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA ONLY)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
• CHEMO - Chemotherapy (as applicable)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (as applicable)
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (as applicable)
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement (required annually)
• NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (as applicable)

Health Documents

• Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start
• TDAP Vaccine - Required within 10 years of start
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required
• Rubeola (Measles) - 2 Vaccines or Positive Titer required
• Mumps - 2 Vaccines or Positive Titer required
• Rubella - 2 Vaccines or Positive Titer required
• Hepatitis B - Positive Titer, Series (3), or Declination required
• Varicella - 2 Vaccines, Positive Titer, or History of Chicken Pox required
• Drug Testing - Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Flu Vaccine - Required during flu season (10/1-3/31)
• COVID-19 Vaccine - Proof of Vaccination or Declination required

Background and History Requirements

• Background Check - Required and must be renewed annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM Check - Required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG Check - Required within 30 days of start
• References - 2 required within 3 years of start
• Employment Application - Copy required
• Skills Checklist - Required and updated annually
• State Specific Search - TX DADS Check within 30 days of start
