    Job details
  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for an experienced Cath Lab RN to work a travel assignment.
  • The right candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, and hold an active BLS and AZ license.
  • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
    Job requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience - must be within the past 6 months
  • Travelers cannot have worked in Arizona for the past 12 months/one year as a permanent staff employee and does not have a currently active position at an acute care hospital or hospital system in Arizona.
    Schedule information
  • Weekend call rotation varies: approximately 1 weekend responsibility every 4-5 weeks; weekends are Friday from 1830 to Monday 0600.
  • Shifts are 0600-1830.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab Chandler Regional
  • Number of beds: 4 Rooms
  • Ratios: 3 person team for regular cases (1 RN, 2 techs), 4 person team for STEMIs and call (2 RNs, 2 techs).
  • EMR: MacLab primary, some limited Cerner
  • Charge Nurse: RNs rotate for charge; not required for Traveler to be charge.
  • Weekend Requirement: weekend call rotation varies, approximately 1 weekend responsibility every 4-5 weeks.
  • Holidays: 1 team (4 person) on call on holidays, 24 hours.
  • Scrub Color: supplied hospital scrubs.
  • Vents: occasional.
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes.
  • IV Team: if required, generally this is done in pre-procedure area (separate staff).
  • RT 24/7: yes.
  • Pharmacy 24/7: yes.
  • Floating: possible float to Mercy Gilbert.
  • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Full range of cath lab cases, interventional, structural heart program, hybrid lab (TAVR, watchman, Mitraclip, laser lead extractions).
  • Additional Notes: request experienced cath lab RN familiar in the environment of a highly acute busy lab. Travelers would not work in EP room, so no EP experience required.
