A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Tele RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.

Must have 2-3 years experience in specialty, they are open to first time travelers. Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test! Nurse Aides: 3 nurse aides to cover all 74 beds of these three units. Charge Nurse: one charge nurse for all 74 beds (2 West, 4West, and 2 central). Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CHF, COPD, Renal failure, pneumonia.

Schedule: 12 hrs, 6:45-7:15, schedules made out about 2-3 weeks ahead of time initially and then they try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance, self-scheduling for the most part. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, - Nights - Fri/Sat. Holidays: Work into perm staff rotation. Floating: float to Tele - 2Central or Tele - 4West. Shifts are likely nights, and every other weekend (EOW) with the expectation to be the first to float.

# beds: 30 beds. Ratios: 1 to 3-4. Charge Nurse: one charge nurse for all 74 beds (2 West, 4West, and 2 central). Nurse Aides: 3 nurse aides to cover all 74 beds of these three units.

COVID Vaccine Required (Certification). It is a very busy unit with a lot of quick turnovers, they stress the patient experience on the unit and they want someone who knows and understands HCAHPS and core measures and someone is will be invested in their mission and values, also important that the traveler is self-motivated and team oriented, they are very traveler friendly.
