Job requirements

Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW)
Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment
First time travelers will be accepted if their experience is from a large academic medical center
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, Conscious Sedation, Telemetry, Vents, Trauma Level I or II, and IV Start

Schedule information

Shift Requirements: 3x12 ONLY
Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract
Traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period if they call in for a contracted shift

Unit specific information

Critical Care Crisis Track 2 (NIH is only preferred) & manual proning, PA/Swan Lines, VAP, CAUTI, CLABI prevention, Delirium Bundles

Additional Details

IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources
