- General Information: Beds: 44 private and semi-private rooms
- Experience? RN: 1 year minimum, would prefer more
- CNA: 1 year - ask manager approval for any candidate that has previous hospital experience but has not worked in the hospital setting within the last year.
- First-time traveler? Yes
- Patient Types: Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.
- Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)
- Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures
- Non-surgical unit
- Patient Ratios: RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6. May vary based on patient acuity, tech support, insulin drips within assignment, etc.
- CNA: Days 1:10; Nights 1:10. Rarely, due to call-in, nurses may have total care of some less acute patients within their assignments.

Schedule information
- CNA - will typically not have a patient assignment
- Charge nurse
- Phlebotomy? For peripheral blood draws only
- House Supervisor, 24/7
- RT, 24/7 in house
- Hospitalist, 24/7
- PT/OT/ST – dayshift only
- Unit Resource RN (as staffing allows) – 0700-1900
- Charting System/Equipment: Cerner – not required, Alaris, Pyxis
- Floating: Will float as often as needed to any area with Med/Tele patients (within or below scope)
- Orientation: 2 Days Hospital orientation, 1 shift on the unit
