  • The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds and anatomy surveys.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • - Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific ultrasound procedures. Teach new technicians how to scan.
  • - Observe the patient and instruments during procedures, report unusual occurrences and record patient conditions.
  • - Prepare room, equipment and materials as needed for patients.
  • - Maintain stock supplies.
  • - Enter exam procedures into a computer database.
  • - Maintain files and filing of patient records.
  • - Perform and help with portable ultrasound exams.
  • - Consult with perinatologist pertaining to findings to assist in diagnoses.
  • - Clean and disinfect ultrasound room and equipment.
  • - Consistently meet schedule and quality requirements.
    Job requirements
  • Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
    Additional Details
  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
