Unit specific information

Number of Beds: 31
Nurse to Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Strokes, HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A fib non RVR, Chest pain, MI after ICU, AMS/behavioral, surgical overflow
Charge Nurse present on each shift
Nurse aids/patient care techs present
RT Equipment: BiPAP stable, trachs established with blow by oxygen
Tele/monitor techs present on the unit
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Lasix, Heparin
Floating Requirements: will float to other MedSurg units, ER holds occasionally
