Shift: Rotation (Saturday/Sunday 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM & Monday 2:00 PM - 2:30 AM)

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level and is responsible for providing care for patients in the specific age range of their assigned clinical area.

Job Duties

Knowledge of the Magnetic Resonance imaging process and safety standards.
Provides protection to patients and personnel in accordance with safety standards.
Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures; explains exams and answers questions.
Performs MRI procedures including neuro, body, and extremity, following protocols set by a Radiologist.
Conducts venous access for IV contrast administration as directed by a Radiologist.
Enters necessary data into Radiology Imaging Systems.
Processes images as necessary and identifies anatomy on images.
Performs quality control tests on equipment and reports irregularities.
Notifies Team Leader of equipment malfunctions and shares responsibilities for ordering supplies.
Acts as a Radiology liaison, providing support to physicians as requested.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
Experience: Relevant experience in MRI technology.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT)
- Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
