Job requirements

Must have License/Cert - Start Date: ASAP
EMR: Epic exp required
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:6
Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Total knee, hip, shoulder replacements fractures and joint infections primarily
Special Procedures: staple removal wound vacs
Clinicians will need to have one year of previous successful travel assignment

Schedule information

Shift Times: 12N
Hours per week: 36 or 48s
Holiday RTO 1 day between 11/27-12/1 and 1 day between 12/23-1/2
Must work 2/3 holidays
Call Requirement: N/A
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

# of Beds: 31-40

Additional Details

Interview: VA Auto Offer, offers to be accepted or declined within 48 hours or they will be rescinded
Float Requirement: as needed in skillset
Flu and COVID vaccine required, medical or religious exceptions are accepted
All travelers will need to float to all floors at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Methodist West

Iowa nurses are the best

Helpful and kind staff make it a good work environment. The night shift gals are young, but helpful. The providers are pretty rude and not a lot of continuity there. Good staff ratios most nights. Low acuity LDRP. But busy. Usually 1:4 couplet ratio. 1:1 or 1:2 with induction with prostaglandin
