Job requirements
- Shifts are 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
- Self-scheduling for core staff, travelers added in.
- Unable to guarantee block scheduling.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other.
- Holiday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend group.
- Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg.
- Unit/department specific orientation: 3 shifts.
Schedule information
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds.
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation.
- Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630.
- Equipment: Nasal cannula to vent.
- RNs required to read and interpret monitor strips.
Unit specific information
- Radius Rule: 50 miles.
- Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
