Job requirements

Candidates with no Licensure or Background hits are only considered for this opening
1 year of experience is a must
IV skills are required, as the unit does not have an IV team

Schedule information

12 hours shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, 6 week self scheduling
Every other weekend requirement for both days and nights
Flexibility in working holidays is preferred
No call or standby requirement, but could be put on call for low census

Unit specific information

2-3 shifts on the unit with a preceptor, 4 hours with the educator (wound vacs, PCAs, etc.)

Additional Details

BLS (AHA) required
CPI training available
Ratios: 1:5 days, 1:5-6 Evenings, 1:6-7 Nights
Common diagnoses: ETOH, drug abuse, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, DKA, homeless, Neuro/spine, trauma, ortho, COVID
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor present for all shifts
Will take a modified assignment if needed
Can float to like units, worked into permanent staff rotation
