Job Description

• Must have pediatric experience.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• No call required.
• Weekend coverage possible (1 weekend shift per contract).
• Patient Diagnoses: Inpatient and outpatient neonate to 26 years of age.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Neuro, Body, MSK, Angio, Spect., sedated cases, and non-sedated.
• Special Equipment: GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners, Bayer Injectors, EPIC, Invivo Monitoring, GE PACS.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Documentation and Certifications

• References: 2 supervisory references required (Charge nurses count as 1 reference).
• Certifications:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU RNs)
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • Tech Cert Verification - National (for RRTs)
  • State License Verification (Ohio RN or RRT license required)
  • NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (must state candidate is "free of communicable diseases")
  • TB Questionnaire
  • Drug Testing (Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (optional as of 8/2023)
  • Hepatitis B documentation (declination or proof of vaccination required)
  • Fit Mask documentation (N95 fit testing required)

Additional Requirements

• Background Check: Criminal background check required within 30 days of start.
• Education Verification: Required to verify highest degree.
• Fingerprinting: Required within 60 days of start.
• Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required and updated annually.
