Job Description
- Must have pediatric experience.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- No call required.
- Weekend coverage possible (1 weekend shift per contract).
- Patient Diagnoses: Inpatient and outpatient neonate to 26 years of age.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Neuro, Body, MSK, Angio, Spect., sedated cases, and non-sedated.
- Special Equipment: GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners, Bayer Injectors, EPIC, Invivo Monitoring, GE PACS.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Documentation and Certifications
- References: 2 supervisory references required (Charge nurses count as 1 reference).
- Certifications:
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU RNs)
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- Tech Cert Verification - National (for RRTs)
- State License Verification (Ohio RN or RRT license required)
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN)
- Health Documents:
- Physical Exam (must state candidate is "free of communicable diseases")
- TB Questionnaire
- Drug Testing (Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (optional as of 8/2023)
- Hepatitis B documentation (declination or proof of vaccination required)
- Fit Mask documentation (N95 fit testing required)
Additional Requirements
- Background Check: Criminal background check required within 30 days of start.
- Education Verification: Required to verify highest degree.
- Fingerprinting: Required within 60 days of start.
- Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required and updated annually.
