- Recovery Room RN
- Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements). Orientation for this unit will be held bi-weekly on Tuesdays.
- Shift: Variable shift times and lengths. We have 8-, 10- and 12-hour shifts. Day, Eve. NOC shifts. Mainly day and Eve. Earliest start time, 0530 and staff taper in throughout the day. Last start time 2100-0730.
- Ratios: 1:5, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 Per ASPAN
- Skills REQ: Caring for patients across the lifespan. Greater than 1 year PACU experience required. 1 yr EPIC charting experience/competence required. Pediatric experience preferred. Tele Interpretation, Ventilators, IV insertion, PICC lines required. PA lines preferred.
- First-Timers Accepted: yes but previous travel preferred.
- Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: total joint (hip and knee), laparoscopic appendectomy, laminectomy, ophthalmologic surgery, open reduction internal fixation for distal joint, arthroscopic joint (shoulder, knee), exploratory laparoscopy/laparotomy, Laparoscopic hysterectomy, EVAR, pacemaker insertion/lead extraction, robotic assisted Thoracoscopy/thoracotomy, TURBT, TURP.
- Any special procedure done on the unit? Post-operative nerve block placement, lumbar puncture, epidural blood patch. Equipment: Stryker rolling stretchers, Phillips monitors, Baxter SpectrumIQ IV pumps, Bair hugger warming system.
- Number of Beds/Cases: 16
