  • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Required 2 year of experience required in last 5 years
  • Traveler Experience: Accepts 1st time travelers
  • Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
  • Skills: Must be able to take heparin drips, PCA, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Traumatic Brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes- Emerson/Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management, Wound care.
  • Epic documentation experience required.
  • Target Ratios: 1:6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios)
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma/nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.

    Schedule information
  • Shift: 12HR NIGHTS. 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.
  • Contract Length: Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
  • RTO: 7 days MAX
  • Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding
  • Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays.
    Unit specific information
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
    Additional Details
  • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
