Preferred Certifications: ACLS, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Management of drips, CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries

Minimum Years of Experience: Required 2 year of experience required in last 5 years

Traveler Experience: Accepts 1st time travelers

Skills: Must be able to take heparin drips, PCA, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Traumatic Brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes- Emerson/Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management, Wound care.

Epic documentation experience required.

Target Ratios: 1:6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios)

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma/nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.

ACLS

Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management

Management of drips

CVA

Pre/Post Neuro Surgery

Spinal cord injuries

Contract Length: Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!

RTO: 7 days MAX

Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding

Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: Must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays.
