Reassesses health needs every shift and when patient condition warrants

Plans care based on data from all sources and updates plans as needed

Administers medications and treatments following nursing best practices

Documents patient care, response to medications, treatment effectiveness, pain management, discharge planning, and educational progress

Participates in multidisciplinary care planning

Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies including safety, infection control, patient privacy, and patient identifiers

Completes orientation to Life Safety Standards and understands disaster plans

Skillful in advanced patient assessment and prioritization across age groups

Able to respond to a wide spectrum of medical emergencies

Understands and functions well within the teaching/physician residency model in the ER

EPIC experience required

Experience with pediatric and adult patients
