Omaha area hospital is in need of a General Peds RN with ambulatory and general clinic experience.
This is for ASAP travel contract.
This 13 week contract will be working in a travel friendly hospital with mostly general peds and an occasional adult patient recovering from day surgery.
Shifts are Monday-Friday between 0745-1730, with possibility for evening (until ~2000) and Saturday morning (0800-1200).
Phlebotomy experience helpful but not required.

Unit specific information

Provide care for pediatric patients with diverse conditions, including epilepsy, respiratory, GI, and post-surgical cases (e.g., cleft palate).
Administer infusions and manage post-op care, including wound vacs and emergent cases.
Collaborate with a charge nurse, APP, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Handle high turnover on day shifts, particularly with infusion treatments.

Additional Details

Pediatric Travel Nurse - West Omaha Location.
Unit: 14-bed pediatric unit, specializing in epilepsy monitoring and neuroscience.
Patient Ratios: 1:3 – 1:4.
Charge Nurse: Available 24/7; no patient assignment during day shifts.
Support: 24/7 RT and Pharmacy services.
Orientation: 2-3 days with preceptor.
No floating unless the traveler has higher acuity experience.
Scrubs: Any color, professional for pediatrics.
We aim to accommodate block scheduling and avoid holiday shifts.
