Travel Nurse needed for an Inpatient / Med Surg assignment working nights in Spooner, Wisconsin.

Schedule information

12 hour Nights
Rotating every third weekend (may be asked to cover additional weekends)
No self-scheduling. We try to stay as close as possible to block schedules; however, FMLA's, staff shortages, vacations can change the scheduling.

Additional Details

# Beds: 18
Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4, sometimes 1:5, rarely 1:6.
Common Diagnoses: Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, swing bed patients, weakness, cellulitis, covid, general surgical - appys overnight.
Experience: Positive attitudes only.
Are RNs required to titrate drips: Occasionally.
Common titratable: Heparin, Cardizem.
Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: RN to read.
Charge Nurse: Day Charge to take patients and full assignment, house supervisor on nights.
Are there nurse aids on this unit: Yes. From 7am-2330.
RT Equipment: Cpap and Bipap and high flow and self rescue.
Floating Requirements: Float to ED at times if possible, to be the 2nd RN or help if they need help (would not be expected to take a full assignment).
Scrub Color: Any color professional scrubs.
Department specific orientation: Staff get a 12hr orientation day. 4hrs on the floor and 8hrs with the education RN. Buddy 1st day off.
Radius Rule: This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
