Job Description

  • Position/Specialty: 5E AA PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
  • Shift Options:
    • 3 shifts of 12 hours (36 hours/week)
    • 4 shifts of 12 hours (48 hours/week)
    • 8 and 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
  • Charge Nurse Role: Must be willing to work in a charge capacity.

Requirements

  • Licensure:
    • Must have an in-state Indiana RN license and required certifications in hand to submit.
    • Pending licenses are not accepted.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience required (1.5 years may be screened).
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Telemetry and Cardiac Telemetry.
  • Floating: Clinicians may float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Unit Information

  • Patient Acuity: Acuity adaptable unit with patients ranging from medical-surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level of care.
  • Common Diagnoses: COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, UTI, CHF.

Additional Information

  • Local Candidates: Not accepted.
  • RTO Restrictions: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
  • Charting System: Cerner.
  • Parking: Free parking available.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Vaccinations:
    • Proof of flu vaccination required during flu season.
    • Other vaccinations (e.g., Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella) may be required.
  • Drug Testing: Negative drug screen required within 12 months of start date.
  • Background Check: Required within 90 days of start.
