The hospital serves as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care and is the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in western North Carolina. Mission Hospital offers a variety of specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, and women's services. The onsite Mission Children's Hospital features a 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU. The hospital continues to grow with a recent addition of a new state-of-the-art patient tower. Asheville is known for its thriving arts community, natural beauty, and is situated along the Blue Ridge Mountains.
    Job requirements
  • Level III or higher NICU experience - 2 years or more preferred.
    Schedule information
  • Every other weekend.
    Unit specific information
  • Mission Hospital NICU NICU Unit. The types of staff include Day Shift and Night Shift RNs, charge RNs, RTs, tech, and types of equipment used on the unit. List typical procedures performed on the unit.
    Additional Details
  • The NICU consists of 51 beds with a staff of 120, including RNs, charge RNs, RTs, and techs. The patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:4. The EMR system used is Cerner.
