Job details

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsible for providing quality imaging.
Works in support of the Radiologist providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Job requirements

Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH.
A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
One year of acute clinical radiology experience.
At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
Current BCLS (AHA) required.
Proficient computer skills.

Required - Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
Valid Picture ID (State Drivers License, Passport, or State ID Card)
American Heart Association only.
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP required for certain positions as per department requirements.

IV Certification (LVN/LPN)
FIRE CARD (LA City facilities only - EHMC & SOH)
MAB is required for ER and Psych
Sonographer - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certificate
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam and Color Blind Testing Online required within 1 year of start.
CA Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (2 year update)
Behavioral Prevention with CDC - Certificate of completion required for clearance
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training - Certificate of completion required for clearance
Photo (for Badge) - Required for all travelers
EMTALA Manual & Acknowledgement - must review and sign the acknowledgement prior to start
