  • Skill Required: Cerner, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure and IV therapy, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Respiratory/Thoracic care, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
  • Patient Diagnosis: Post-transplant (liver, kidney/pancreas, small intestine, islet cell, multivisceral), ESLD, ESRD, thoracic/abdominal/ENT/Flaps/General surgery, sepsis, multisystem organ failure, pre-transplant hepatology patients, overflow from neurosurgery (craniotomy, CVA, etc.), overflow from MICU.
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
  • Rotating shifts can vary between switching between days and nights within the same week and/or working a few weeks of days and then a few weeks of nights. Flexibility is a must.

  • Teaching Hospital
  • Total Staffed Beds: 402
  • Charting: Cerner REQ
  • This facility requires that all employees have the Flu vaccine
  • Pre-approved time off on case per case basis based on unit needs. Travelers scheduled after permanent and PRN staff make schedule requests within self-scheduling system.
    Job requirements
  • 2 Years Minimum Experience Required
  • Must have 1 prior travel assignment
  • Charge Nurse Exp preferred
  • May come into contact with Covid Patients
