Skill Required: Cerner, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure and IV therapy, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Respiratory/Thoracic care, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
Patient Diagnosis: Post-transplant (liver, kidney/pancreas, small intestine, islet cell, multivisceral), ESLD, ESRD, thoracic/abdominal/ENT/Flaps/General surgery, sepsis, multisystem organ failure, pre-transplant hepatology patients, overflow from neurosurgery (craniotomy, CVA, etc.), overflow from MICU.
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
Rotating shifts can vary between switching between days and nights within the same week and/or working a few weeks of days and then a few weeks of nights. Flexibility is a must.
