Job Description

• Unit: 3South Stepdown unit
• Patient Ratios: 1:4/5
• Experience Required: Previous PCU/Stepdown experience
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification (National Institutes of Health)

Licensing Requirements

• License: Kentucky RN or compact license required
• Nursys Verification: Required within 30 days of start

Additional Information

• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Work Schedule: 36/48 hours for the two-week pay period
• Distance Requirement: Candidates must reside 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Assignment Confirmation: Must be submitted within 24 hours of accepting the offer

Credentialing Requirements

• Health History:

  • MMR (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 vaccine series or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Tdap (valid for 10 years)
  • Influenza Vaccine (annual requirement)
  • Annual Physical or Health Statement
  • TB Quantiferon test within one year prior to start
• Background Checks: Required within 30 days prior to start
• Professional References: 2 required (1 Charge or higher, 1 Supervisor)

Competency and Skills

• Unit-Specific Exams: Required within one year prior to start
• Core Competencies: Must complete training on HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, etc.
